What kind of game is Under The Rooftop?
Under The Rooftop is NOT about roaming a limitless city.
It’s not about a large map with empty promises. Instead, it’s a focused, deeply interconnected Metroidvania-style 4-player co-op survival game set within a single city block — where every corner, every floor holds dread and discovery.
This world isn’t wide — it’s deep. Above ground, you get to explore over 20 unique buildings: apartments, a police station, a hospital, a shopping mall, and more. Every building is fully explorable. Every floor. Every room. Underground, there are sewers, subway, secret base, and much more. A labyrinth of secrets pulls you deep underground, towards the heart of the outbreak as you explore.
Scavenge, unlock, survive. Build your safe haven not in distant forests but on the rooftops.

What platforms will the game be available on?
Primarily, we are building the game for Steam. There will stretch goal for console porting. If we meet the goal we will also focus on the console port. It will at least take a year after the Steam release to finish the console port.
NOTE: Alpha Access keys will only be available as a reward on Steam.

We’ll be launching an early alpha version of the game for some backers as a reward. This is a pivotal point in development, and we want your feedback to help shape the final product. Your suggestions on gameplay, features, or any improvements will be invaluable.

I want to play it on console, not on Steam.
After the campaign is over, we’ll send you a survey to collect all necessary data, including your gaming platform of choice, shipping details (if you backed a physical tier), your Letter, and Model Poster photo. In this survey, you can state that you want a console key instead of a Steam key.
NOTE: Right now, our main goal is to build the game for Steam. And console port will be part of stretch goal. If we meet the stretch goal and you opt in for the console key, you will have to wait at least a year, as we will start console porting after the Steam release. If you select console port but later do not want to wait, you can change your platform choice at any time before the Public Release.

Can I play the game alone?
Yes, like any other survival craft game, you can create your own server and play alone. But it is better to play with friends. If you do not have friends, you can always use our bounty system to invite other players to join your server and help you with quests.

How does shipping work?
Once the campaign ends, Kickstarter will process your payment automatically. After that, we’ll send out a backer survey. This is where you’ll provide your shipping details for your physical rewards and settle any necessary payments.
NOTE: Delivery cost and taxes (VAT) will be charged before we send your reward. We’ll calculate your shipping fees based on the best available rates at the time.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
